PHOTO MANIPULATION

Photographers can manipulate and edit any photograph in endless ways through the use of photoshop and other editing softwares. For this project I wanted to take my fashion editorial photography to another step. By doing this I used a multi-image lens filter and colored gels to create photo manipulation all in camera and during the shoot. This created so many interesting images that one could accomplish with hours of editing but instead I got to control the coloring and effects before capturing the photo. I’m super happy and excited about how these turned out and that I got to try a new unique way of exploring the process of photographing!

DAY DREAMING

This editorial shoot was a collaboration between myself and Sherlie Mane Photography that we had been planning for a very long time. To finally bring our vision to life felt so surreal. When first planning this shoot we had one model and to be lucky enough to end up having three beautiful ladies, we were beyond grateful. It was amazing being able to work with one of my best friends and have two photographers. You can view the entire gallery now!

MONOCHROME

My work explores the lines of editorial and a monochromatic color scheme. Monochrome is one-color that is created using different tones of a specific color. I combined props, clothing and backdrops all surrounded by selected colors to create a cohesive series of photographs. I wanted to turn simplicity into a unique and creative styled shoot. Challenging myself to edit photographs with various shades of one color and pose models in a way that is expressive.  Focusing on three colors giving them each a different meaning. Pink surrounding telephone calls, expressive makeup and an edgy feminine outfit. Blue being dedicated to a bold, boss, business woman with confidence. Green has a satin, classy, and out of the frame angle. Together these bring the concept of using monochrome to explore the potential and limitations of fashion and editorial photography.
