Behind The Lens
In summer 2018, I began college at the University of North Florida with no idea what I wanted to major in. Photography has always been a hobby of mine, but I never thought it would be something I'd pursue for my career. Since I was a kid I have been heavily involved in art in general and surrounded by photography through my dad. In Spring 2019 I began taking classes in the photography program and haven’t set a camera down ever since. I learned how to properly use the settings on a camera and began shooting only in manual. Actually learning about a camera and photography I realized I made the right decision in my major. I struggled at first deciding what I wanted to focus my photography on and coming up with concepts. Eventually the more I photographed, met other photographers and models I discovered I was interested in portraits and editorial styled photoshoots. I became obsessed with this concept of creating images that tell a story without words. Going to spontaneous locations, setting up studio scenes and using fashion in my work. Slowly after this I became comfortable with expanding into Lifestyle Photography such as working with Graduates, Couples, Weddings and Families. I have always had support for this entire journey through family and friends. Most of my models have been very close friends of mine who have helped me grow. A major influence has been collaborations with my good friend Sherlie Mane who has inspired me and opened my eyes to so many aspects of photography.
